Shanna's journey with Rotationplasty is documented here in a nationwide publication for prosthetic and orthotic teams and their patients. Her hope in sharing her story is that other patients will have the best care they can possibly have.

The Truth 365

In 2013 Shanna joined forces with The Truth 365 initiative (winner of three Emmy Awards) to bring childhood cancer awareness to the public. She has participated in filming for their social media campaign that gives a voice to all children with all types of cancer. Their collaborate efforts focus to promote the unity of this world to speak as One Voice Against Childhood Cancer!

Shanna is recognized and featured in the December 2010 issue of "Speaker" magazine acknowledging her strong desire to make professional speaking part of her career even at a very young age in her life.

Prudential Spirit of Community National Award

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program's goals are to applaud young people who already are making a positive difference in their towns and neighborhoods, and to inspire others to think about how they might contribute to their communities.

LCMS National Youth Gathering

Shanna speaks at national/international events throughout the United States sharing her story and motivating others to be all they can be. She lives by the motto: "Dream as though you'll live forever, and live as though today's your last."
