In 2013 Shanna joined forces with The Truth 365 initiative (winner of three Emmy Awards) to bring childhood cancer awareness to the public. She has participated in filming for their social media campaign that gives a voice to all children with all types of cancer. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service.
